Every fitness, dance and movement space has downtime.
It may be a dance studio sitting empty between afternoon and evening classes. A boxing gym with an unused training floor during off-peak hours. A hotel conference room that is rarely booked on Sunday mornings. Or a fitness studio with availability after its final scheduled class.
Choréothons is creating a new way for venue owners to turn those unused hours into paid opportunities.
Our application connects people who want to move with others who share their music taste, preferred activity, location and availability. When enough compatible people are interested in a session, Choréothons can match that demand with a suitable local space.
For studio owners, that means your downtime can become discoverable—and potentially profitable.
Register Your Space in Minutes
Venue owners can register their available space through the Choréothons website in one of two simple ways:
- Upload a PDF of your current planning or class timetable. We use the existing schedule to identify the hours during which your space may be available.
- Mark your available hours directly on our calendar. If your availability changes regularly, you can indicate the specific days and times you would like to offer.
You remain in control of the hours you make available. Registering does not mean that every open period must be offered, and you can identify the time slots that make the most operational and financial sense for your venue.
We Are Looking for More Than Dance Studios
Choréothons is not limited to traditional dance studios.
Different movement experiences require different environments. Some sessions need mirrors and a professional dance floor. Others may work beautifully in a boxing gym, hotel meeting room, community hall or open fitness space.
Potential Choréothons venue partners include:
- Dance studios
- Boxing gyms
- Martial arts and combat-sport studios
- Fitness studios
- HYROX and functional-training gyms
- Cross-training spaces
- Yoga and Pilates studios
- Ballet studios
- Rehearsal and performance spaces
- Community and cultural centres
- School and university gymnasiums
- Sports halls
- Hotel conference rooms and ballrooms
- Hotel lobbies with movable furniture
- Hotel rooftops, terraces and poolside areas
- Beach clubs
- Coworking and event spaces
- Wellness centres
- Private members’ clubs
- Airport, corporate and hospitality spaces with suitable unused areas
- Other unconventional venues with safe, open floor space
You may already have the perfect Choréothons space—even if you have never thought of it as a dance venue.
The Right Space Depends on the Music and Movement
Not every Choréothons session requires the same type of flooring.
A Bachata or Salsa session, for example, will generally keep participants standing upright. The primary considerations may be adequate space, a smooth and safe surface, ventilation and a reliable sound system.
A House Anthems Choréothon, however, might inspire lower movement, more dynamic choreography and a little sassy floorwork. That session may be better suited to sprung dance flooring, vinyl, mats or another clean, body-friendly surface.
A hip-hop session may need space for grounded, high-energy movement. A family session may benefit from softer flooring. A HYROX-inspired session will need a completely different configuration from a ballet-to-hip-hop workshop.
This is why our venue registration form asks practical questions about your space, including:
- The type of flooring
- Total usable floor area
- Mirrors
- Air conditioning or ventilation
- Bluetooth or sound-system access
- Changing rooms and showers
- Lockers or secure storage
- Shoes, socks and barefoot policies
- Accessibility
- Photos of the available area
- The types of activities the venue can safely accommodate
Each participant should have enough room to move safely. The information you provide helps us estimate the appropriate group capacity and match your venue with sessions that suit its characteristics.
From Empty Hours to Qualified Local Demand
Traditional venue marketing often requires owners to advertise broadly and wait for instructors, organisers or private clients to enquire.
Choréothons approaches the problem from the other direction.
We are building a community of future participants around what already motivates them:
- The music they genuinely want to hear
- The movement activities they want to try
- The neighbourhoods they can realistically reach
- The days and times that fit their schedules
- The people nearby who share their interests
That information helps us understand where demand exists before proposing a session.
Instead of simply listing a room for hire, your venue becomes part of a local movement network. A quiet Tuesday morning or Sunday afternoon could be matched with people nearby who want to create dance, train or move together at exactly that time.
Your Venue Does Not Need to Become a Dance School
You do not need to redesign your business, add permanent classes or hire a new team of instructors.
Choréothons is designed around flexible, pop-up movement experiences. Your venue provides an appropriate space during agreed hours, while our platform helps organise demand around activity, music taste, location and availability.
This can help your business:
- Generate revenue during otherwise unused hours
- Introduce new people to your venue
- Increase local visibility
- Test demand for new movement formats
- Build relationships with new communities
- Make better use of existing facilities
- Attract future members, clients or private renters
Someone may first discover your boxing gym through a music-led movement session and later return for boxing classes. A hotel guest may attend a rooftop Choréothons session and associate your property with a memorable wellness experience. A dance studio may introduce its facilities to people who never previously considered entering a traditional dance class.
The session fills an available hour—but it can also open the door to a longer customer relationship.
Help Us Build a More Flexible Movement Marketplace
People do not always want to exercise at the same time, in the same way or to the same music.
At the same time, thousands of suitable spaces remain unused for portions of every week.
Choréothons is building the connection between those two realities: people inspired to move and venues with room for that movement to happen.
If you own or manage a dance studio, gym, hotel, boxing club, wellness space or unconventional venue, register your space with Choréothons. Upload your current planning, indicate your available hours and tell us what your venue can accommodate.
Your downtime could become someone else’s next move.
